School Management provides school-management software to schools in India, on the web and through our Android and iOS apps. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. It applies to the School Management website, every school portal hosted on our platform, and our mobile apps.

Who controls your data

Each school is the controller of its own students', guardians' and staff's information. School Management processes that information on the school's behalf, as its service provider. If you are a parent, student or member of staff, the school you belong to decides what is stored and who may see it; contact your school for requests about your records.

What we collect

• Account details — name, email, mobile number and the role you sign in with.
• School records entered by the school — such as admissions, attendance, marks, fees, timetable, transport and messages.
• Payment information — when fees are paid online, payments are handled by our payment provider; we store the result of a payment, not your card or bank credentials.
• Technical data — IP address, device and browser type, and app version, kept to keep the service secure and working.

How we use it

We use your information only to run the service the school has asked for: signing you in, showing you the records you are allowed to see, sending school notices and reminders, processing fee payments, and keeping the platform secure. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.

The mobile apps

The apps show you the same school portal as the website. If you allow notifications, we use a device token only to deliver your school's messages and reminders; you can turn notifications off in your device settings at any time. The apps do not collect your contacts, photos or location.

Sharing

We share information only with the service providers that make the platform work — hosting, our payment gateway, and messaging (email, SMS and WhatsApp) providers — and only as needed to deliver the service, or when required by law. Each school's data is kept separate from every other school's.

Security and retention

Data is encrypted in transit, access is limited by role, and each school's records are isolated from others. We keep information for as long as the school uses the service, and remove it on the school's instruction or a reasonable period after an account is closed.

Children

Student records are provided and managed by the school and the child's guardians. We do not knowingly let children create their own accounts; student logins are issued by the school.

Your choices

You can ask to see, correct or delete your information. Because the school controls its own records, please make these requests to your school, which can act on them in the platform. For questions about the platform itself, contact us below.
